I had not updated the Champignon household before going on a ‘hiatus’. Here are pics I saved for the post, but as it’s nearly a year since they were taken, I can’t remember exact circumstances. Most of them speak for themselves I guess.

Sebastien and Claire are ageing. Not long now before their end has come.

Claire worries about it.

They’re making use of the time they have left to spend with family.

As Ilse just mentioned, Xavier has just published another bestseller, which was delivered to the house.

They are still very much in love. Their son, Renaud, is increasing his creativity skill (looked on by his ancestors), an almost obligatory skill in that household.

The family jam from time to time.

I’m not sure what’s going on in the next two pics.

I can’t remember if Ilse has a job but she’s catching up with family films.

Things had settled down after Hereward moved out.  Jerry got to know his dad better before heading off to university.

Bjorn waves goodbye to Jerry.

Bjorn waves goodbye to Jerry.

Emily grew to an elder not long after.  She’s near the top of her dance career.

Hereward, meanwhile, moved in with Clarise and Bjorn’s younger son, Lars.  Clarise had felt sorry for him and there was plenty of room in the house.  Bjorn, who I think is business tycoon or at least CEO, was permitted to visit and see his son.  Clarise kept away.

Clarise found herself feeling more for Hereward than intended and he really liked her.  He shyly proposed expecting her to say no, but she accepted and is now Mrs Langerak.  Hereward is delighted to finally be married.  (They married without ceremony or photos.)

I haven’t done an update for DeMarr in a long long time.  Last I wrote, Monica was arguing with Vincent and the kids were very young.    Monica died at age 77.  Her daughter, Lucia, has a daughter (now a teenager) by her flatmate and has just had a son from an affair with a married man.

Anyway, time has passed.  The kids are grown.  Daeron went off to university and Radu grew to a teenager.

I can’t recall when Drako, died – certainly when Daeron was a teenager.  It seems I haven’t written about his death anyway.  He died at the age of 80.

While Daeron was at university, his mother, for some reason, got angry with Vincent, so they were not on speaking terms for a while.  Probably some passing townie flirted with him.  Who knows?  Anyway, Vincent figured if his wife wasn’t speaking to him and he was being accused of cheating, he may as well cheat.

The woman is Cate Champagne, a twin daughter of the recently deceased Arthur Champagne.  Cate is living a life of hell in a trailer with her slob of a husband.  She has one baby daughter, Ellie-May.  Vincent represented all she didn’t have.  Even when Vincent aged, she continued to see him.

Daeron, meanwhile, was staying at the big house on campus at Academie le Tour (the “dorm” for rich kids).  Champignon twin girls, Brigitte and Elise, were also there, as well as Sam Arends.

Brigitte, whose grandmother was Sorrow DeMarr, was at first attracted to Sam, but she had an unexplainably strong attraction to Daeron (she was one of them, basically).  Of all the children of  Romain Champignon, she was the only one with black hair, and looked like her grandmother.

Daeron flirts with Brigitte

It all seemed so right for both of them.  They are, of course, 2nd cousins.  Drako and Sorrow were siblings.

Daeron proposed.

Brigitte accepted.

Brigitte and her twin sister, Elise, graduated together and left university.  Sam was a couple of years older and had left earlier.  Daeron graduated shortly after.  He and Brigitte moved in with his parents.

They both got jobs – Brigitte in the natural science career, and Daeron followed his father’s footsteps and entered the paranormal career.

The wedding was at home, in the evening after work.  Unfortunately, Vincent was still at work (working until 3 am).

Below, looking on, is Romain’s now teenage son, Cheverny, sitting next to his mother, and Romain sitting next to Catriona.  Evidently, I haven’t changed the formal hairstyle of Felice since she (very recently) became an elder, as she now has short hair.

Brigitte didn’t like the gowns on offer in the family wardrobe, so she went shopping and found some new fashions at the local store.  She looked stunning in her new black gown.

After the wedding it was Radu’s turn to head off to university.

Lucia (Drako’s half sister and his wife’s daughter!) grew to a teenager.

She invited friends round after school.

Drako and Monica hit 54.

The dog, Thor, who is now old, doesn’t seem to like Lazaria.

Lazaria is now afraid of him.

Not to worry.  Lazaria headed off to university and probably won’t return home.

Framboise seemed quite happy looking after her baby daughter, Ribena.  It’s just as well babies can’t catch colds after Framboise’ police colleague coughed all over her.

Meanwhile, over at Seamus Danaher’s, Mala was in the red zone after school and tried to replenish energy with alcohol.

That didn’t work, of course, but she refused to eat even though there was food already cooked.  She was tired so went to bed but of course didn’t sleep because she was hungry.  The inevitable happened.

She was fated never to live long.

Naturally Ebony was upset.

Seamus was at work but mourned as soon as he got home.

With one of his six daughters dead, perhaps he figured he could risk having another.  He called up Framboise and invited her round – his intention to try again for a boy.  (He was determined.)

Framboise came round and they attempted to woohoo but Ebony was in the house.

Naturally she wasn’t too pleased and gave Seamus a slapping.  She stormed off and Framboise made herself scarce and Seamus then grew to an elder.

Fiona, the second daughter, grew to a teenager at the same time.

Seamus headed downstairs to apologise to Ebony.  He didn’t get a chance.  Ebony gave him his marching orders.

Framboise seemed oblivous.

Seamus left and Ebony had to ask Framboise to leave.

The household of six had now shrunk to four in one day.

The following day Ebony, Begorrah and baby Hellia all had a birthday.

 Ebony and Hellia

At least the kids would be easier to look after now two of them were able to take care of themselves, with a teen to help out.  Ebony had been unemployed but just before she aged she got a job (doing what, I can’t remember).

Seamus (SWAT team leader), with nowhere else to go, headed downtown to move in with Framboise.

He could look after the baby without even holding it, it seems.

Seamus managed to get Framboise pregnant again and this time expected more daughters – hell, why not go for 10?

Ribena grew to a toddler.

Before Framboise gave birth, Seamus proposed to Framboise.

Framboise became the second Mrs Danaher almost immediately.  Now any subsequent children would have his name.

And just as well, because Framboise had twins.

And wouldn’t you know it, they were both boys!  Seamus called one Liam and Framboise called one Patric.

A son at last!

Well, there won’t be any updates for a while, partly because I’ll be away over the Christmas/New Year period but also because my computer has chosen this time of year to have a spazz and my video card and/or monitor has packed up.

I cannot currently access any pics I took but, briefly, Antoinette has moved out of the house with Emma’s adopted son, Akanami (not my choice of name).  He is Artois’ heir and is supposed to be older than all his other kids because Artois was still a student when he was born.  After Antoinette moved out with him she moved with him into her half-brother Philippe’s place.  Philippe needs ageing as well so I figured I’d put them together.  Antoinette left to move into an apartment.

Pics when I can, which may not be for a few weeks.

Damien didn’t want to be a Tan anymore.  He wanted to marry Serena and take her surname – his kids had her name, after all.  So he had to divorce Marla.

He invited Marla around to the new house, all unaware.  She should have known what was coming.

(Marla’s let herself go, as you can see.  Sorry the pics are dark.)

Damien hadn’t enjoyed telling her to piss off out of his life.

But now, at last, he was free to marry Serena.

It was a private ceremony in the backyard while the girls were at school (and Luka asleep).

Ebony grew to a teenager and Luka grew to school age.

Damien is still taking elixir so has not aged.  Alex Lillard and Marla have.  (Mikhail Lillard is now a teen and Elizabeth is school age.)

But Damien has grown fat.  He’s been studying so hard for promotion that he hasn’t been active.  Now, at last, he’s reached the top of the paranormal career and become a cult leader.  Now we need to get him slimmer and get friendlier with his vampire friend, Contessa Andrea Lawson…
