As mentioned before, Bjorn aged up.
Alexandra grew to toddlerhood quickly. She’s pretty cute.
Bjorn did his bit looking after his granddaughter when others didn’t.
Alexandra went for a day trip – to her grandmother’s work and back! Incredibly, after dealing with Alexandra, Emily took her to the waiting car…
I followed to see if she would put the toddler down…
Nope.
Luckily, her work hours weren’t long (she’s a world class ballet dancer) and she got home safely – with Alexandra. Whew! Any needs were quickly met (although not by Emily who went straight to bed).
Brenda got pregnant again. Jerry argued with her about something – ensuring it’s a male heir? Who knows.
Luckily, Brenda had twins – a boy and a girl – Peter and Penny.
Bjorn’s not a bad granddad.
(I think the house is due for a makeover.)
Arthur and Petra Champagne lived in the retirement home in Bluewater Village along with the elder Larssen brothers, Anders and Stieg, and Amber Champignon (widow of Nicolas Champignon). The elders lived happily in the multi-bedroomed home. Anders’ daughter, Eve, joined them as she had nowhere else to go and no boyfriends.
Death came for Arthur at age 70. He had been an ecological guru.
He fought at first, but accepted his time had come. Petra was devastated.
Since we’re on the subject of the retirement home, the Larssen brothers also died. First Stieg…
also age 70 (retired medical chief of staff), then Anders…
age 71. He’d finally made it to Rock God.
With three elders gone from the retirement home, fellow icon, Fynn Hunter moved in after his wife, Serenity, died in their beach-front home.
Eve, meanwhile, had had an affair with Cate Idler’s twin sister’s husband, Adam Mountebank. She gave birth to a girl, Helen (named after her aunt, Helene who brought her up).
Icons, Fynn and Amber, were delighted to have a baby in the house.
Anyway, over to the main Champignon family…
Cheverny, now at uni, proposed to his cousin, Lafitte Champagne (grand niece of Arthur in case you’re wondering).
She accepted.
Romain’s twin daughters, Brigitte and Elise, met and chatted.
Elise had, by this time, also gotten pregnant
and given birth to twins.
She wants six kids, but she’s not the most attentive of mothers.
Elise seems unconcerned.
I hadn’t shown any photos of the older twins after their birthday. This is Brigitte (Sorrow’s favourite).
I don’t have one of Elise on her own.
The younger twins, Cecile and Sabine, had a birthday already.
This is Sabine.
So now there were four toddlers in the house, a first for the Sim god:
It could have been a handful, but it wasn’t so bad.
The twins all played together.
The only problem was bedtimes with them wanting either to go to bed or be let out of the cot (oops, glitch here).
Then Felice went into labour…
Luckily for both of them it was a boy they named Cheverny.
So things were now a little hectic with five young children, even with the robot to help out.
Bedtimes were a nightmare.
Dog beds were easier…
Somehow the door got locked.
Romain to the rescue.
And then it was no longer an issue as the older twins grew up.
Brigitte:
Elise:
Whew!
It was just as well Mickey the robot was there to help with the twins when Emily was otherwise occupied.
But their birthdays were just around the corner. – first Harry then Charlotte.
That didn’t mean that they got any more attention – in fact they needed more…
Emily was, by now, heavily pregnant so she couldn’t exactly run around. And then her time came:
She made young Bjorn, recently engaged, a father of a boy, Jerry.
The father of the twins, Hereward, dropped out of university and joined Emily. At least he can help out with the children.
Emily’s father, Michael, succumbed to the flu while in gaol.
He was just 59.
Felice, much to Romain’s distress, found some leftover cheesecake, so the inevitable happened.
She gave birth to another set of twins.
Unfortunately for Romain they were girls again. Cecile and Sabine.
It was just before the older twin girls’ birthday and they gathered round to celebrate.
Sorrow held her favourite granddaughter, Brigitte,
then promptly died, putting rather a dampener on the celebrations.
Sorrow was 71.
In the excitement of the birthday and the grief following the death, one of the younger twins got forgotten.
Romain got Felice pregnant once again, hoping for a boy. But he will be perfectly happy to have 10 children… I’m not so sure Felice would be.
Emily Lillard wasn’t the only one to have twins.
Felice Champignon gave birth first to one girl (that’s Bjorn looking on before he headed to university):
(Romain didn’t seem to bothered too welcome his daughter…)
then another… girl.
Felice named them Elise and Brigitte. Romain was obviously disappointed he didn’t get a boy. Never mind – next time!
Romain visited his half-sister, Serenity, in Bluewater for the first time in his life.
He stayed for dinner. Apart from a mother, they didn’t have a lot in common.
Serenity’s husband is now an icon, while Romain is a mere blockbuster director. They still live in a modest house overlooking the sea and have no plans to move to a huge mansion.
Bjorn was with Romain and got on well with Serenity’s son, Tyler (who’s actually his nephew. Serenity and Romain are his half-siblings).
Both are now at university.
John Lillard loved his grandson, even though he was green.
But John was feeling his age. He missed his late wife and he’d got to the top of this career long ago. (He was a Captain Hero.)
Life just didn’t hold much interest for him anymore.
His time came at the age of 79.
Anna was upset,
but cheered up when she got some money.
Michael didn’t seem too affected by the death.
John never discovered that Michael was his arch nemesis, a criminal mastermind.
Spork’s birthday came around soon after and the bad news: ugly.
So that’s Spork out of the running for heir.
Meanwhile, Emily, the abandoned eldest child of Michael and Anna, dropped out of university and headed back to an apartment in Veronaville. She wasted no time in trying for a male heir to inherit on her behalf. She was friends with two young students (her friend, Hereward Langerak, and Bjorn Larsson). She made use of Hereward…
She gave birth to twins! A boy and a girl: Harry and Charlotte.
The apartment was too small so she moved to a two-bedroomed unfurnished house. Hereward was not the handsomest of men. So Emily invited Bjorn over…
just to be sure. She was determined to have a good-looking heir.
Her plans don’t stop there. Stay tuned.
This family is pretty boring (as well as ugly) so I may stop blogging about them. They’re one of the original families though.
Micky the robot came in handy in Caryl’s absence:
The twins grew up.
Emma:
then David:
Their sister, Emily, in the Landchild Home for Rejects, has just grown to a teenager. I forgot to take a photo but I think she’s better looking than either of these two. Will she return home because she’s not so ugly after all or will she stay where she is (it’s just her and a boy now)?
John Lillard, meanwhile, is enjoying perving on his daughter-in-law having a shower.
I did say I wasn’t going to blog about them, but oh well.
Olivier was happy because 3 kids had graduated. Veronique’s LTW was to have 6 grandchildren. So far she only had 3: Yvette had twins – Elsa and Matt. Remy had a boy, Chenet. But Veronique was nearing the end of her life. So all the remaining kids got to and had some babies. Recently married Simone got pregnant and had a daughter, Aramis. Helene, married to Stieg, had a girl, Jutta. Even the neglected Cuvee had married Anders and had a child, Xander.
They lived downtown and were not the cleanest of tenants. In fact neighbours complained about the smell.
Now it was left to Arthur’s wife to have a child.
A girl, Olivia, named after her grandfather….
and
Cate. Twins! Veronique’s LTW was achieved with 7 grandchildren.
Sadly (or not), Olivier died soon after at age 69. He was not mourned by many. The last of Artois’ children was finally dead.
You may remember Beatrice was seen downtown with Remy. Marc was rather depressed. Perhaps he felt something was amiss.
His younger daughter grew to school age.
Not very happily… she has since been seen at several other houses having a tantrum.
Remy was stupid enough to visit Beatrice while Marc was home.
Perhaps they thought Marc was asleep…
Caught out! Marc was not happy.
Beatrice appears to be pregnant again. I don’t think it’s Remy’s but… we’ll soon find out.
While the twin babies lay in the kitchen, crying with dirty nappies, the cleanup bot had gone nuts and deposited rubbish everywhere. Anna helped the maid pick it all up after first desperately turning the vomiting machine off.
No-one else was around to help, so Anna decided to fix the machine herself.
She looked at the camera as if to say “I did it. So what?”
Then, with a nudge, she went off and changed the babies’ nappies. She also powered up Mickey, the robot.
Michael was reading a book upstairs the whole time.
The twins’ birthday had arrived. They didn’t even wait to get to any cake before changing.
First it was David.
Oh dear.
Then it was Emma.
Hmm, will have to see what they look like as school kids.
The twins played together…
and randomly hugged. Cute.
Their grandmother, Caryl, only 64, seems to be nearing her end.
